The quiet numbers

Americans buy a great many houseplants every year. A great many of those plants do not make it. Not because we want them to. Because we were never quite built for the long-term care of another living thing.

How it works

A living room that
always looks cared for.

Plantable operates the care. You get the impression of it. Three steps, no green thumb required.

  1. 01

    Choose a tier

Everyday, Statement, or Collector. Each tier sets the rotation cadence, plant size, and the varietals you're eligible for.

  2. 02

    We deliver and style

A Plantable specialist places each plant, matches the pot to your space, and schedules your first wellness check in-app.

  3. 03

    We rotate before they die

Our check-ins flag decline early. When a plant is on its way out, we swap it, quietly. You keep the aesthetic.

They stopped killing things.

“I have, allegedly, kept a fiddle-leaf fig alive for eleven months. My mother is proud of me. She does not need to know everything.”

“It's the only subscription my partner has not asked me to cancel. The apartment looks like a Nancy Meyers set now.”

Frequently asked

Honest answers,
in small amounts.

What happens to the plants you take back?
They're triaged at our partner nursery in Petaluma. Most are rehabilitated within six to ten weeks and returned to rotation. Plants beyond recovery are composted on-site.
Can I keep a plant if I love it?
Yes. After twelve months of verified care, a lease converts to full ownership at no additional cost.
What if my plant dies?
That's what you pay us for. We replace it with a similar specimen within 48 hours. The $12 early-swap fee only applies in the first two weeks.
Where do you deliver?
San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, and most of Marin and Alameda counties. New York and Los Angeles are on the waitlist.
Is this good for the environment?
More honest than the alternative. A rotation network keeps decline-bound plants out of the bin and back into rooms that can hold them.
Who is behind Plantable?
A concept project. Nothing here is for sale; the company, the plans, and the testimonials are part of an exercise in writing a brand from scratch.
